Wow!   Only five days since my last entry.   I hope I can keep it up.

This weekend Jacque and I went back to New York to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday.   Though we didn't tell her we were coming back, she guessed that we would be there.   It was a lot of fun and it's always great to see her.   We see her two or three times a year, but I wish it could be more.

It's looking like the Kansas people may not be able to come to Boston.      In that case, we will do a teleconference to plan next summer.   Hopefully some of them can make it.

I read about the Big Jeans Festival over the weekend in Minsk.   When 10,000 people show up for anything that's important.   I hope it ultimately leads to something.

Other than that it's quiet now ... I'm just working.

Right now I'm missing my daughter and granddaughters like crazy.   I'll see them again for a week in January, but I wish it could be sooner.

Until next time...

Okay.   Admittedly 11 months is a little long between updates.

Much has happened...good, bad, and indifferent.

I didn't get to Belarus this summer as my visa application was rejected.   That's unfortunate as I really wanted to get back to see my brothers and sisters.   Maybe something will work out for next summer.

My granddaughters turned nine and five this summer.   They are growing like weeds and are wonderful to be around.

We are looking forward to a planning conference next month to help plan next summer.   Several people are coming to Boston.   Wait until you try whole lobster!

Anyway, I'll try to do better than eleven months before my next update.

Wow!   It's been a long time since I added an entry.

First, it's nice to see the GenerationBelarus.org site is back.   Including pictures of our visit to the local "authorities."

It was a busy weekend with a drive back to the Buffalo area to attend my nephew's wedding.   Jacque made the cake (fabulous, as usual).   It was nice seeing family again, though the weekend was much too short.

Because of project deadlines here at work, I won't be able to spend Christmas with my daughter and granddaughters.      This is the first time in a long time that we haven't been with them for the holidays.   Oh well, maybe some time in January.

On the Belarus scene, it looks as if we will have six people going to Kansas for the planning conference.   It should be fun.

Oh well, enough for now.   I won't take as long for the next update.

Well, it's 6 o'clock and what should have been a relaxing day has been anything but.

My car died last night so I had it towed to a garage.   No big deal.   Except that even though it is under warrantee, it still is doing what it shouldn't.

Then there were major problems at work.   Because of a server issue jobs are either:

     1. Running and failing;

     2. Not running; or

     3. Running incredibly slowly.

No big deal ... it's only $1.8 billion

If I may paraphrase Adrienne ... the joy of working at a bank ... priceless!
